A lot has happened at THRIVE!

Our warm and welcoming space at 400 Skokie Blvd in Northbrook has been a wonderful place to care for patients. We are grateful for the beautiful design of our office, creating a serene environment. We are continuing to add some finishing touches, including artwork in the reception area and above our coffee bar.

Since opening our doors six months ago, a lot has happened at THRIVE!
- We have enrolled many of our long-time previously established patients, as well as new patients. The interest in our practice has been overwhelming and we truly appreciate your referrals!
- We have hired our full-time staff: Michelle Nowaczyk, Business Manager; Melissa Berman, Medical Assistant; Krystal Donaldson, Medical Assistant. Check out our website for their pictures and bios!
- We have enrolled in the state of Illinois’ Covid Vaccine Program and are now able to offer covid vaccines to our patients. We are grateful to have this vaccine more targeted to current variants.
- We are beginning to plan for some exciting new offerings that will be available with next year’s membership renewal. Stay tuned to learn about packages of services that we will be offering in order to help you achieve your health goals.
- We will soon be able to offer expanded urgent care services (such as closing simple wounds, incision & drainage of abscesses, etc.) to our patients (and in some cases to their adult family members as well). We hope this helps you avoid the crowds in the Immediate Care Centers.

Thank you for joining THRIVE!
I am so grateful that you have entrusted (and continue to entrust) your care with me. Founding THRIVE and being able to practice medicine in a detailed, personal and highly academic setting has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have a renewed joy for the practice of medicine and am humbled by the generosity, support and trust all of you have put in me and this practice.
As all of you well know, even in a time of dramatic professional change life goes on and it has been a wonderful summer watching softball, baseball and swim meets. My family and I have helped to found The Grace Network, a nonprofit focused on providing kids in transitional living basic essentials (underwear, deodorant, shampoo, etc) and will continue to dedicate ourselves to improving health and wellness for all people.
I look forward to your next visit and continuing to THRIVE with all of you!
FROM DR. BERG
Hello! I’m so glad you have joined THRIVE! Transitioning my practice to a Direct Primary Care model and building THRIVE has truly been a professional dream come true. More time with each patient has allowed me to address longstanding problems with a new lens and has allowed more time for collaboration with my specialty colleagues. It has been a pleasure to expand my network from the Central (city) region of Northwestern to include the North region as well.
Personally, this past year has been an amazing journey: new practice in a new location, new baby, new experiences for my “big kids” like youth triathlons, overnight camp, and a new au pair from Argentina joining our family. Same old wonderful, supportive husband though, who helps make it all possible! I am so grateful for the trust you have placed in me as your primary care physician. Thank you for your support and referrals as THRIVE continues to grow.
I look forward to continuing to grow and THRIVE with all of you!
