In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Kalember is passionate about education and is a clinical instructor at the Feinberg School of Medicine. In this role, Dr. Kalember has served as a preceptor for the Education-Centered Medical Home, a longitudinal primary care clinical experience for medical students. She has also been a faculty preceptor for the Problem-Based Learning medical student curriculum and currently works on the medical school’s admissions committee, where she interviews applicants applying to the Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Kalember graduated from Northwestern University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in biology. She subsequently attended Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine and completed her residency training in 2012 in Internal Medicine at Northwestern. During her residency, Dr. Kalember was the recipient of numerous residency teaching awards, including the Gerald Grumet Award for best resident teacher. She also conducted research investigating strategies to improve quality reporting in primary care settings.
